Meet Sam

Hello everyone-
Charlie here after a long hiatus of blogging.  I've been a busy boy since I've turned 2, yes 2.  Can you believe it.  I had an awesome birthday celebrating with my 2 Grandmas or "Emas" as I used to say, Grandpa Peterson, (Grandpa Potter was fishing) Uncle "Eno", Aunt Julie & Uncle Tim.  I had my favorite dinner of hotdogs and beans.  The best part was the homemade ice cream Mom made and my sesame street cupcakes.  I ate Oscar the Grouch, mmmm.

Now that I am 2, I can do sooooo much more. I can actually communicate with my parents, sometimes too much they say.  I am able to recognize all the letters of the alphabet and count to 20, all before I was even 2. People think I'm a little strange when I pick out letters and numbers off the TV. I am now recognizing different shapes too, square, rectangle, triangle, diamond, heart, star, circle, and octagon. I love looking for octagons while driving they say, "S-T-O-P, Stop!  My parents keep saying I have a good memory. I know all my colors and can sing the alphabet song, Baa Baa Black Sheep, and Twinkle Twinkle.  I can recite all my favorite books without even looking at the book.  Mom and I do this while we go for walks. My favorite toy at home are my "mues" or "blues" as I can finally say now. These are my 8 blue blocks that I like to line up in a row. When they are all set I say, "Perfect." People keep commenting on something called OCD, but I'm not sure what they are talking about. I have decided that I don't want to eat as well anymore. I don't eat "lulerries"(blueberries) anymore. I refuse to eat any fruit or vegetable. My favorite snack, that my mom lets me have, is 2 cracker when I get home from Lauries. I like to eat chicken and beans, oatmeal, hotdogs, and pizza. I do not like any type of pasta or bread. My mom says I've become a picky eater.  I'm just being a stubborn toddler.

The big news I have today is to introduce my new baby brother "Am" or Sam.  I have become more and more fond of him every day.  I give him blankets and his binky.  I love to rub his head and give him kisses and hugs.  There are times that I say "no Am" when he is taking all of my mama's time, but I am dealing with it better everyday.  It has a little hard for me, but I love him.  Mom says that I have to share my blog with Sam so you all can get to know him too.  There may be some changes in the appearance of the blog as he starts using it. Let's just say this is my attempt of sharing.

Here are some pictures to get us up to date:

My summer

It was a very hot summer so I kept busy inside playing with my blocks.

I also made many trips to the zoo, mostly Mama and me.  We did this a lot on our Tuesdays that we spent together.  I can walk the whole zoo in 2 hours.  I love the zebras and say, "thank you zebras" after we see them.

This is Dada and I on a nature walk.  We went to Minnesota and spent a few days on a lake as our last family trip, the 3 of us.  We also went to a Twins game and visited friends Megan and Corey and their cat, also named Charlie Petersen.

One of my trips to my favorite place to eat, Chipotle.  Bring on the black beans.

These are my Sesame Street cupcakes that Mama made, mmmmm.

And me eating Oscar and homemade ice cream...yum yum!

Meet my brother Sam Francis Peterson.  He was born on Sept 25, 2012, 1:58pm, 7lbs 7oz, 19in

This is the closest I would get to "holding" Sam.

I am always saying, Am is "too cute".

Fall time

Here is our annual family trip to the pumpkin patch.  It was really fun because I got to pick out my own pumpkin with Dad and stand next to Oscar the Grouch.

I have a feeling I am not the only one who stands next to this and takes a picture, thanks parents!  But look at that, I'm almost 3 feet tall.

And here is me in my everyday madness.

Here are the boys of the family, Mom better watch out, she's outnumbered by a lot.

And finally, I'll leave you with my beautiful singing to Baa Baa Black Sheep.  Thanks for catching up with me, love, Charlie.

More pictures...

Here are some more pictures to update you some more,  This is what I usually look like, always walking and always wearing a hat.  I even pick out my own hat now.
I love playing with my blocks, it is so much fun as you can see.

Below you will see Mama and me just being silly.  We do this a lot.

And here I am being a cheeser like always!

This is when I went to visit my Grandma and Grandpa Peterson in Kearney.  We stayed at a hotel that had a nice water park and these pictures really capture all I did...stand and watch other kids go down the slides.

I hope you enjoyed the recent updates...until next time, which as we know could be a long time, thanks for checking me out!

Love,
CharlieP

Long and Lost

I know that I have probably lost a lot of friends by not keeping up to date on me, so I am sorry. Let's just say I am so busy I don't have any time to keep up! I am at the baby sitters 4 days a week, then on my one day during the week with Mom and weekends I am usually on the go. I go to the zoo a lot, I enjoy walking on cement, and playing with my basketball. I am talking like crazy, but you really can't understand me, I like to just babble sentences to myself. I have picked up on quite a bit around the house, including sh** when I drop my lululerries, or blueberries for those that don't understand me very well. I love, love, playing with my blocks! My favorite show is "Girl" or Kai-lain and going for walks is my most favorite thing. I like Mama and Dada Jeff, to both go with me, and yes I call him Dada Jeff or just Jeff. I can count to 10 now, and working on my ABCs, I'm really good at LllmnoP, or LMNOP, however you say it. I like animal sounds, I can name a lot of them. Reading is a favorite pasttime also. I have decided that I don't want to eat all the same things I used to making it a challenge for Mom and Dada Jeff to feed me. Really, they should just stick to "pees" or crackers, "luluerries", and "gilk" (milk) and I would be fine. See I really haven't changed that much since the last time, same ol' me just getting closer to 2 years old in a few more months, and then I will have a baby brother or sister. I am not ready for that, but Mama says I need a sibling, like I'm spoiled or something. If she only knew I don't get everything I want otherwise we would always watch Girl, always eat luluerries, and always be walking outside. Here are some pictures, now you can see how big I really am!

2012, A New Year

Here's a late Happy New Year from yours truly, Charlie Peterson.  Life is so crazy these days, I can't believe I haven't updated you all, well I kind of can, and I blame my parents.  Anyways, lets go way back to where I left off. We've missed all the good holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course Christmas.

I was a cheesburger for Halloween, some like to call me, Charlieburger.  I had fun walking aimlessly with my parents around my block. I didn't really get the whole concept of walking to the door and asking for candy.  I pretty much just walked to the door and then turned around to keep walking.  It was still fun.

Then there's Thanksgiving, my Grandpa & Grandpa Peterson came to visit, Aunt Kaitlin and Brett too.  We ate turkey and then I took naps, I guess that is what it is truly about.  No cheesburgers for this holiday. Then I spend the Friday after Thanksgiving with my Grandma.  Everyone left to go to the Husker game, someday I hope I will be able to go.  Dad says when I get bigger.  I don't think he wants to chase me all over Memorial Stadium and I sure wouldn't just sit on his lap.

Christmas was so much fun!  I spent Christmas Eve eve and Christmas Eve day with the Peterson side.  I ran around in my Christmas PJs, played with Brett, and of course opened presents.  I was so lucky to get books and an animal barn for Christmas.  I love them all, especially the books.  We spent Christmas eve night with the Pryor side and Christmas day with the Potters side.  It is so fun because of all the kids I got to play with.  My cousin Rowan was there and some of my second cousins.  Christmas morning Santa came and brought me a picnic table, a piano, a mower, and an elephant toy.  My Mom even made me a cool stocking that was done on Christmas day!  My mom thinks I got way too many presents, but I'm okay with it.  I play with all of them, except the ones my mom hid from me.  I know she did it because I remember opening them and now I can't find them.  Hopefully someday I will get to play with them.

Now for all the things I've learned to do. I can walk, but you already knew that.   I can talk, I say things like:  DaDa, an-na-na-na (banana), uh-oh, grlll (irl), al' ga (all gone), ock  (sock & block), gock (bath), hop-po (hippo).  I'm still holding on to Mama...I'm waiting for just the right time to say it.  Sorry Mom.  Here's me playing with my new mower and Scout.  I like to push him around.

Here is another favorite passtime of mine.  Hanging out with Mom...we can get so silly.  Risky business, anyone?

I really like to stack things...check out all my towers:

I know what a cow says, mmmmmmmooo, a duck says, ack ack, and a monkey, ahh ahh (ooh ooh ahh ahh).  I love to dance and spin circles. I am really good at eating!  I over hear Laurie, my babysitter, telling my mom that I'm the class clown at lunch.  What can I say I love to laugh.

I hope that updates us to this new year.  Oh and I've already achieved 2 of my new year resolutions.  One, to update my blog more often, and two, I'm binky free.  I miss it all the time!  I didn't decide my resolution, my Mom did.  I still love her, but I really miss my binky.

Until next time,
CharlieP
